Not all symptoms you may experience are related to vaping directly, the side effects could possibly be because you have quit smoking. If you go ‘cold turkey’ without any nicotine replacement in your vape juice then you may find yourself with the following side effects:
- Insomnia
- Dizziness
- Bleeding gums
- Irritability
- Anxiety
- Coughing
- Colds/the flu
There are some reported side effects of vaping eliquids, some of which come from having too high of a nicotine strength such as nausea, headaches and dizziness, and aren’t related to vaping alone.
Side effects from vaping tend to be temporary, but if they persist then stop using your vape device.
Reported side effects of vaping include:
- Dry skin
- Sore tongue (Vapers tongue)
- Caffeine sensitivity
- Dry mouth from the content of the liquid (PG and VG)
- Itchiness
- Rashes
Dry mouth is probably the most common side effect of vaping which can be reduced by drinking more fluids than usual. The PG in your vape juice attracts and holds water from the area, in this case is your mouth.
If you find that your side effects do not ease as your body gets more used to vaping, then it might be worth giving it a rest for a little while. It could be that your body is reacting with the ejuice flavour or the PG/VG ingredients, in which case try a different juice with a new flavour and ratio to see if it makes your symptoms better.
