You might have heard the words “nic salts” being bandied about vape forums and shops lately and be wondering “what are nic salts?”
In this blog I’ll be telling you everything you need to know about nic salts, from why you chose them to why they're different and what the drawbacks may be.
Let’s start with what are nic salts and where do they come from. Nic salts are extracted from a different part of the plant. It is meant to get into your bloodstream quicker and have a longer shelf life.
Ever tried to vape a high nicotine sub Ohm juice? It will burn your throat! This is where nic salts come in. Nic salt e-liquids are much smoother, allowing you to vape a high nicotine content in a Sub Ohm device, rather than a 3 or 6mg.
Aside from the smoother throat hit, you will also use less juice if you opt for a nic salts e-liquid. This is because you will need fewer puffs to feel satisfied. One vaper reported using a bottle a day of 3mg regular juice, and then one every 3 days for a nic salt e-juice.
Another benefit of using nic salt e-juice is the fact that you will get so much more flavour, even with the higher nicotine content. Note; that nic salts do not taste of salt, at all!
One thing to take into account when you use Nic Salts is that you can take in too much nicotine if you chain vape. Be sure to leave it 5 seconds before you take your next puff to give your body enough time to absorb the nicotine. Otherwise, with higher nicotine content, you may find yourself with a bit of a headache.
If you crave the throat hit, then nic salts might not be right for you, as they are much, much smoother.
These nic salts are more of a premium product, and come with a slightly higher price tag. However, you will find that you use much less juice as you won’t need as much to satisfy your craving.
