SMOK Nord 2 Review

The original SMOK Nord has been one of our best selling pod kits. It boasts an 1100 mAh battery, selection of coils, including 1 x Nord Mesh Coil 0.6 Ohm, 1 x Nord Regular Coil 1.4 Ohm and sleek design. Well, now there’s an upgrade on the market.

The SMOK Nord 2.

SMOK Nord 2

We got our hands on the SMOK Nord 2 when we were out in the States. We got a little drunk, found ourselves vape-less and so we headed into the nearest vape shop. We woke up in the morning thinking that this fantastic little kit was a fake SMOK. After a little research, we found that we actually got our hands on a SMOK Nord 2. So we thought we would do a review on it. This review is based on the US version, we’re hoping they come to the UK ASAP without too many changes.

We think that the SMOK Nord 2 is going to be just as popular as they have upped the ante. The new Nord features 1500mAh battery with adjustable wattage and 40 watts. In this blog, we are going to look at the SMOK Nord 2 in more detail.

STYLE

The SMOK Nord 2 comes in 9 different finishes. They all look pretty sleek and smart, there will certainly be a style to suit your tastes. The device itself measures just 95x30.5x20mm, making it the perfect pocket-sized kit.

BATTERY

If you are someone who doesn’t have access to a charger during your day, then you will love the 1500mAh battery. This will be sure to last you the day, depending on how often you are vaping of course.

SCREEN

The SMOK Nord 2 has a 0.69inch OLED screen with controls which allows you to really tailor your vape. You will be able to make adjustments to the watts, see the battery power and how long left until it is fully charged. Having the ability to adjust your watts will give you the power to get your vape exactly as you want it.

COILS

With the SMOK Nord 2, you will be able to vape with different styles, such as mouth to lung and direct to lung. The coils you will get within the kit are 0.4ohm mesh coil and a 0.8ohm coil. The 0.8ohm coil is ideal for someone who is just quitting smoking and is looking for a similar feeling to inhaling cigarettes. Whereas the 0.4ohm mesh will be perfect if you want to produce great vapour, experience heightened flavour and vape direct to lung.

What we think of the SMOK Nord 2

The SMOK Nord 2 is a refillable device, with a large battery and screen. We love the fact that the SMOK Nord’s sequel has the ability to adjust power, to give you a tailored vape experience. We like the control that it offers.

The different coils also allow for you to be able to use high VG e-liquids, starter juices and nic salts. Having the ability to use all of the types will allow you to make changes depending on your situation. For example, if you are at work with limited breaks you might use nic salts, then on the weekend when you are chasing flavour and cloud you could swap coils and use high VG.

It is a smart little kit for a reasonable price, with various styles to suit. We would recommend this pod to those who have just quit smoking as well as seasoned vapers as a second device, or even a primary one! It is really easy to use and doesn’t take up your whole pocket or purse.

Why you might choose a POD system

The SMOK Nord 2 is a pod system. This is a smaller device which is perfect for the following:

  • Nic salts
  • CBD
  • New vapers
  • Vapers looking for a second, more portable kit

Pod systems can be refillable or disposable. We prefer the refillable ones here at Vape and Juice, as they limit single-use plastics. Not only that but refilling your own pod is much more cost-effective. With the SMOK Nord 2, you are able to refill the 4ml pod as many times as you like, you will just need to replace the coil every few weeks.

Remember, this review is based on the American version of the SMOK Nord, which means it has a 4ml tank. If this comes to the UK (cross fingers) then it will have a 2ml pod, keeping in line with the regulations here.

Looking for a POD system? We compare the SMOK Nord to the SMOK RPM40.
