We’re pretty excited about the new PAX 3 dry herb vaporizer. It is the latest edition to the PAX Labs, Inc family and has a few improvements from it’s predecessor, the PAX 2.

The pocket friendly device looks almost identical in shape and size to the PAX 2, however the latest version has a sleek and shiny finish and a name on the back. There are no visible buttons and the LED display is on the front, exactly as before. The glossy finish looks great, however you might want to consider a case for the PAX 3 to ensure that is looks sleek and fingerprint free.

The filling chamber is located on the bottom of the device, just the same as the PAX 2, and is the same size and shape as it has been previously. The PAX 3 is a full conduction unit which means that the materials are vaporized directly by direct contact with the walls of the stainless chamber.

The PAX 3 comes with a multitool on a handy keychain, a USB lead, a raised mouthpiece,  a charge doc, cleaning kit, one full and one half pack oven lid. There is also a pretty detailed instruction booklet.

The device is very simple to use. You press the top button to turn it on, hold the button to find the right temperature and tap it to move through the preset modes. The temperature presets are colour coded, starting with green at 180 degrees and finishing with red at 215 degrees.

When turned on the device will vibrate and will do the same when it is heated up and ready to go.

Something that is pretty cool about the PAX 3 is the app that connects to the device via bluetooth. On the app you can check the battery, select temperatures and monitor the presets. Unfortunately you can’t customise the presets on the PAX 3.

The vapor quality and flavour from the device is great. The PAX 3 is still one of the best portable dry herb vaporizers on the market at the moment. It has a smooth and clean taste.

There is an auto shut off on the PAX 3 which uses a motion sensor. Set it down and it will start to cool, leave it for a while and it will turn off by itself.

Battery life on the PAX 3 is much improved from the previous edition with you now able to get seven 10 minute sessions per charge. The device took about an hour and a half to charge and you can’t use it during that time.

All in all the PAX 3 is a sleek, portable device that is great for multiple sessions during a day. If you’re looking for a professional and stealth dry herb vaporiser this is the right device for you.
