When they were born the mic pups had low oxygen levels. Cot death or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) happens when an apparently healthy baby dies. How do I quit vaping?
We advise that you go cold turkey. Pack up your kit and set it aside for the duration of your pregnancy.
Here are a few tips to help you quit smoking or vaping:
- Seek help from your Dr to talk about the Smoke Free plan
- Ask those who you live with not to vape near you
- Try chewing gum or snacking on something crunchy, such as carrots
- Avoid the social situations where you'd usually smoke of vape until you feel ready
If you don’t feel that you can go cold turkey, then gradually reduce your nicotine content (ideally before you become pregnant). Each week vape a little less and use a lower mg juice. This will reduce your dependence on nicotine and help you break your vaping habits.
Should I definitely not vape during pregnancy?
Of course, the decision is ultimately yours. However, you will want to lead the healthiest life possible while growing a human. You might even find that vaping is the last thing you want to do when you are in the grips of morning sickness!
